Foundation Studies in Built Environment

This programme prepares students for both the working environment and as a launching platform for further studies. This programme is aimed at introducing students to the construction world and to further develop and equip them with related technical skills.

The course combines both theory and practice in related fields within the construction industry. Students will be gradually exposed to basic trades and engineering aspects of construction to establish a stronger foundation both in their career and educational advancement.

Diploma in Construction Management

This programme is specially designed for those seeking a career in construction project management with a general civil engineering construction or building firms. Students will be exposed to basic understanding of the management of civil engineering and building processes. This programme emphasises on a multi disciplinary approach in areas of construction, management, finance, law and sociology which enhances grduates' critical thinking skills and knowledge that employers require for the graduate to be effective in the management of construction projects.

Diploma in Quantity Surveying

This programme is considered as a specialist occupation programme and offers students’ the opportunity to gain skills and qualifications necessary to become a technical Quantity Surveyor. Skills taught include: analysing drawings and specifications,labour and material utilisation, quantifying and scheduling, administration of estimates, pricing of trades, preparing tenders, managing progress payments, and preparation of the final account. Here students will also learn about all types of construction, building services, materials and environment, building law and contract administration, and programming.

BTEC HND in Construction (Quantity Surveying)

This programme offers comprehensive, balanced, vocational and technical study for students wishing to pursue a career in Quantity Surveying. Students will be encouraged to develop problem-solving skills and capabilities together with personal skills of observation, analysis, judgment and communication in order to respond to practical challenges presented by rapidly evolving technological, social and economic demands applicable to built environment.

During the course of study, students will learn to manage the financing and budgeting of construction projects, and calculate, evaluate and manage project costs for projects to work within budget.

Bachelor of Science (Hons) Construction Management

This programme is designed for those who wish to obtain knowledge and skills which are necessary to become a highly trained professional in Construction Management. You will study construction technology, project planning and control, construction law and safety, and construction project management. Graduates in Construction Management are in great demand. Most graduate careers are concerned with building contracting with roles being varied, either site or office based.
